A Little About Me
Hi, I am Safaa, the founder and face behind SAFAA Aesthetic Academy.
I am an Australian-born Lebanese woman, raised in a traditional Arab Muslim household in the Western suburbs of Sydney.
Growing up, family, culture, respect and hard work were a huge part of my upbringing. I attended school in Western Sydney, became a mother at a young age and quickly learnt that life does not always follow the timeline you imagine for yourself.
But one thing I always knew was that I wanted to build something of my own.
Something that would give me independence, allow me to express my passion and, most importantly, create opportunities for myself and my family.
Where My Journey Began
My journey into the beauty and aesthetics industry began over 11 years ago when I decided to study my Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
What started as an interest in beauty quickly developed into a passion for skin, advanced treatments, education and understanding the science behind what we do.
Over the years, I have invested countless hours into studying, training, researching, experimenting and gaining real hands-on experience.
I have seen this industry evolve, watched trends come and go, invested in treatments and technologies, and learnt firsthand what works, what does not and what it truly takes to build a successful business.
Everything I know today has come from years of education, experience, trial and error, and a willingness to keep learning.
From Beauty Therapist to Business Owner
My journey has never been limited to one treatment room.
Over the years, I have opened and operated multiple businesses, experienced the challenges of entrepreneurship and learnt that running a business requires so much more than simply being good at what you do.
It takes discipline, leadership, financial responsibility, customer service, marketing, consistency and the ability to adapt when things do not go according to plan.
I have made mistakes. I have taken risks. I have invested in things that worked and things that did not.
And I would not change those experiences, because every lesson has shaped the businesswoman I am today.
Behind every business I have built are years of sacrifice, long working hours, motherhood, family responsibilities and the determination to keep moving forward.
The Creation of SAFAA Aesthetic Academy
SAFAA Aesthetic Academy was created from my passion for advanced skin treatments, professional education and helping others feel confident in their skin.
I wanted to create more than just another beauty clinic.
I wanted to build a brand that represented experience, knowledge, innovation and professional growth.
Today, SAFAA Aesthetic Academy continues to evolve beyond traditional beauty services.
From advanced skin treatments and professional skincare to developing my own skincare products and introducing educational workshops, my vision has always been to build something bigger than myself.
A brand that does not just provide treatments, but shares knowledge, creates opportunities and inspires others to grow.
Sharing 11 Years of Industry Experience
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been helping other women, beauty therapists and business owners navigate their own careers.
Over the years, I have shared advice, supported others with business decisions, helped people understand the industry and encouraged aspiring professionals to believe in their potential.
I know what it feels like to start from nothing, to question yourself, to invest your own money and to wonder whether all the hard work will eventually pay off.
That is why education has become such an important part of my journey.
Through SAFAA Aesthetic Academy Workshops, my goal is to share practical industry knowledge, professional treatment education and the business lessons I have gained throughout my career.
Because I believe education should go beyond a textbook.
It should be built on real experience, real challenges and an understanding of what happens behind the treatment room doors.
Building My Own Skincare Brand
Another exciting chapter in my journey has been developing my own professional skincare treatments and skin booster range.
After years of working with different products, technologies and treatment protocols, I wanted to take my experience one step further.
My vision is to introduce products that can complement professional treatments while also creating wholesale opportunities for other beauty and aesthetics businesses.
This next chapter represents my passion for product development and the continued evolution of SAFAA Aesthetic Academy.
For me, it is not just about selling products.
It is about building a brand that other professionals can grow alongside.
A Mother, A Woman and A Business Owner
Behind the business, I am also a wife and a mother of five beautiful children.
Motherhood has been one of the biggest parts of my life and has taught me resilience, patience and the importance of building a future for my family.
Balancing motherhood, marriage, business ownership and personal ambitions has not always been easy.
There have been moments of exhaustion, uncertainty, setbacks and sacrifices that people do not see on social media.
But I am proud of the journey.
I am proud of my Lebanese heritage, my Australian upbringing, my faith, my family and the woman I have become.
And I hope my story reminds other women, especially young mothers and women from traditional backgrounds, that you do not have to choose between having a family and having ambitions of your own.
Your journey may look different from someone else’s, but that does not mean your dreams are any less achievable.
What Is Next for SAFAA?
As I look towards 2027 and beyond, my focus is on expanding SAFAA Aesthetic Academy through professional education, workshops, skincare development, wholesale opportunities and supporting the next generation of beauty professionals.
I want to continue sharing the knowledge I have spent over a decade building.
I want to help other business owners avoid some of the mistakes I have made.
And most importantly, I want to continue growing, learning and challenging myself.
Because even after 11 years in this industry, I am still a student of my own craft.
This Is Only the Beginning
If there is one thing I have learnt throughout my journey, it is that success does not happen overnight.
It is built through consistency, sacrifice, education, experience and the courage to keep going when things get difficult.
SAFAA Aesthetic Academy is more than a business to me.
It is a reflection of my journey, my values, my passion and everything I have worked towards.
